Strenx 900

Concrete pump manufacturer Betonstar upgraded to Strenx® 900, saved weight and reached longer

“The fact that the pumps weigh less provides many advantages, like less fuel consumption, the possibility of purchasing trucks with a shorter wheelbase, and pouring concrete usingless fuel – and, of course, less fuel is consumed when you drive a lighter truck,” says Erol Yıldız, factory manager at Betonstar.

Made for predictable performance in the workshop

Person welding Strenx® high-strength steel in the workshop.

Welding

Strenx® 900 can be welded using any conventional welding method. MAG welding is the most common technique today, since it is very easy to automate for high productivity.

Machining

Strenx® 900 can usually be machined without special equipment. Stable machinery fitted with high-speed steel and carbide tools is recommended when drilling, countersinking, tapping, turning, and milling.

Strenx-bending

Bending

Free bending and roll bending of Strenx® steel plate and strip can be done using standard bending machinery. Uniform properties, close thickness tolerances and high surface quality ensure a predictable bending process.

Strenx-thermal-cutting

Thermal cutting

The properties and fine surface finish of Strenx® 900 plate and sheet make it perfect for laser cutting. Thermal cutting of hot rolled Strenx® 900 is performed with oxy-fuel flame, plasma and laser.

Strenx-mechanical-cutting

Mechanical cutting

Mechanical cutting of Strenx® 900 is best performed with guillotine shears. Consider carefully the settings of the cutting machine. The most important factors are clearance, cutting angle and blade hardness. The plate should be allowed to warm up thoroughly to around +20°C (68° F) before it is cut.

Strenx-guarantees

Strenx® guarantees

Strenx® guarantees include tight thickness tolerances, tight flatness tolerances and bending properties. The tight thickness tolerances enable you to know the weight more precisely. As a result, you can reduce your safety margins. Precise thickness within a plate and between plates makes for safe and predictable performance in the workshop.
